Volunteers sorting donated food at long tables

Volunteer

A few good hours go a long way.

Volunteers are the heart of Harvest Table. Sort a pallet, staff a produce market, drive a delivery, or welcome neighbors at a pantry — there’s a role that fits your schedule.

Volunteer roles

Warehouse Sorting

Sort, inspect, and box donated food so it’s ready for pantries. The backbone shift — no experience needed, just steady hands.

2–3 hour shifts

Mobile Market Crew

Set up tables, stock produce, and welcome neighbors at our pop-up produce markets around the county.

Morning shifts

Delivery Driver

Use your own vehicle to move food from our warehouse to partner sites and to homebound neighbors. Mileage details are a placeholder.

Flexible routes

Pantry Host

Greet neighbors, help them shop the shelves, and keep a warm, dignified atmosphere at a partner pantry.

Weekly half-days

Office / Admin

Support behind the scenes — data entry, phones, donor thank-yous, and event prep. Great for remote-friendly help.

Flexible hours

Before you arrive

What to expect

  • A friendly orientation before your first shift — no experience required.
  • Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty.
  • Water and a warm welcome; most shifts run 2–3 hours.
  • Volunteers should be 14+; younger helpers are welcome with an adult.

Specific age rules and orientation details are placeholders for this demo.

Groups & teams

Bring your crew

Companies, faith groups, schools, and sports teams make great volunteer crews. We host group and corporate shifts for 8 to 30 people and can tailor a meaningful service morning — sorting, packing, or staffing a market. It’s a memorable team day and real help for neighbors.
